You feel it immediately – caoutchouc is a material we like to touch.
Is it the hidden elasticity of the flower-seat we sense? Or is it the insulation
properties of the the material – a slight cooling-effect in the summer
and never unpleasantly cold in the winter? Fact is that caoutchouc products
minimise the risk of injury. They do not splinter, are impact absorbent,
frost resistant and anti-slip even when
wet. Stilum uses caoutchouc wherever its insulating effect creates great comfort,
for example on handles, seats and as surface coating. It is used as impact
protection where orthopaedic benefits and specific product features such as
water permeability are of advantage.
